My name is Melissa and I am trying to get help for my son Joshua. He is the strongest person I have ever seen. He has been through so much in his six years of life. He was hurt at birth due to medical malpractice. I had a prolapse cord and because of neglect to get him to the hospital and delivered he suffered from lack of oxygen which resulted in cerebral palsy. He was supposed to never be able to do anything, however, he smiles, laughs, rolls from one end of the room to another. Tells me when he is hungry and that he is good. He is amusing and such a joy to me. That is why I want to get him in this program and give him every chance he deserves. He wants to do so much and it hurts me that he can't. The therapists he currently visits do very basic things and will not try anything new. They tell me he is lucky to be able to do what he does. He wants to get up, he wants to talk, he wants to play and he wants to be right there with his sisters. So I am asking for help to give this chance to my son who has given me so much and taught me so much about strength and overcoming all odds.
Thank you very much for your help and one day I hope to be able to help people in my situation.
Melissa welch
