Jordana "Jordan" Correa was born at 26 weeks being 1lbs 11ozs was diagnosed with Spastic Quadriplegic Cerebral Palsy. The doctors stated in the beginning that her motor skills side of the brain was traumatic damaged and she would be able to see good, hear, talk, eat without a tube, sit up or not to even think about walking but God. The 1st 5 years of her life was very tough as far as a lot of doctor\'s appointments, hospitalization, evaluation, and traditional therapy sessions. January 17, 2006 Jordan has Muscle/ Tendon Lengthening on both legs, which have shown some good progress, but being that we do not have much physical therapy available for school age kids in our area we have not experience the potential from the surgery.
Jordan is now 12 years old and still working very hard to complete her goal, which is to walk and run without any equipment some day. Jordan has 20/20 vision, hearing is over excellent, she is able to read short stories, she can hold conversation with anyone, feeds herself. Jordan is transported to school, church and in the community in a Power wheelchair. She wears AFO braces on her legs / feet during the day and Knee Immobilizer at night on both legs to stretch muscles for a productive next day. At school she is in a stander for about 30 minutes on a good day and uses a walker about 2 times a week.
In 2003, I (O\'Jetta- Jordan\'s mom) read an article about Hyperbaric Oxygen and I immediately knew this is what Jordan needed. I contact all Jordan\'s doctors and not one had a clue of what I was talking about. I prayed about it for months and tried to get more information. Somehow it slipped to the very back of my mind until 3 weeks ago when my mother call and she was reading an article about a little girl that had the procedure at Therapies4kids and had a very successful outcome. Jordan has great potential of walking or just holding her balance with standing to assist her mom more with transfers to the car, bath tub, toilet, bed, etc. She really needs Hyperbaric Oxygen and Intensive Therapy for 3 to 4 weeks for her to experience a better live. I, O\'Jetta am a single parent of Jordan only. I am very proud of my gift given -Jordan. She is very loving, sociable, likable, and teachable kid but longs to experience what we do naturally. We need your support, so join us by donating and see a life transformed forever. Thank you in advance!
