December 23rd 2006 was one day that our family will never
forget. A parent’s worst nightmare, we discovered our
child had turned blue throughout his body and was motionless.
Despite his mothers frantic state of mind, she was able to administer
CPR and revive him upon first attempt. With Zachery’s care
left in the hands of professionals, the end results were clear that he
would suffer from brain damage for the remainder of his life.
The
diagnose for Zach had been given as hypoxic brain injury due to
laryngomalacia that caused epiglottis failure. Which eventually lead
to hypoxia ischemic encephalopathy, epileptic, severe metabolic
disorder, reflux and cortical blindness among other neuromuscular
impairments. He has trach and g-tube and has seizure everytime he
wakes up.
As we fast forward to a year later, Zachery has beaten the odds from
day one with just surviving this horrific event that has been a
surprise to his doctors. With most brain injuries, despite all our
technology, the hope of recovery is left to unconditional love, prayers
and intense therapy. As any parent would do for their child, we have
committed ourselves in finding the best care available. Which has lead
us to therapies4kids. We realized that a 5 weeks of
intensive therapy with HBOT program in Florida is the best
option. The cost of the 5 weeks hotel and intensive therapy with HBOT
will cost us a lot of money.
I am writing because I have hope that everyone reading this
donate us some money. We need some generous people giving
us some help,so that our son Zachery will have the opportunity to
fight for his life. Thank you very very much for your support.
Zachery Lane
